Hi,
I'm Rachel. I'm pro-triathlete and a mother of two.
Since we arrived here from Europe in October 2005, I have realized that California really is the home of triathlons. The sport is growing every year as people find a reason to give triathlons a go themself. It's not long until they're hooked. And the climate is perfect! I have been competing in triathlons since 1994 (when I was 18 years old) and see no end in sight. I want to pass on to you, whether you are a beginner or experienced triathlete what it takes to be able to perform, whatever your level. And if you have children and / or work, I know what it's like to balance work, training and your family - we have an optional childcare service, which I know you and your kids will love. We have 4 regular sitters who I know you and your children will love. I have known 3 of them personally for 4 years and the other comes with excellent references. One is teaching P.E. currently, one is an ex YMCA Pre K teacher and the other two are studying. As childcare is usually outdoors, in local Encinitas playgrounds, the children find it easy to separate from you when you go training. There is a low ratio of children to sitters so the children are safe and get the full attention they need. Your child(ren) will make some great friends here. We find most kids ask to keep coming back! |
